Entity extraction is an Alma Specto feature that employs AI to identify people, objects, organizations, and locations in digital images and documents.

The Entity Extraction workflow includes:

• AI detection of faces, names, organizations, locations and objects
• Automatic grouping of entities by similarity for convenient bulk actions
• Review, confirmation, or dismissal of grouped or individual entities
• Tagging entities and linking them to authority records

This functionality streamlines the process of associating entities, whether people, subjects, with digital materials, enhancing discoverability and cataloging accuracy.
