Content Operations - July 2017 Enhancements

As of the August release, for electronic bibliographic records stored in the Community Zone, the ISBN/ISSN identifier stored in the 020 or 022 $e will be stored in the 020 or 022 $a. If there is both a print and electronic identifier in an electronic bibliographic record, the electronic identifier will be stored in the 020 or 022 $a, and the print identifier will be stored in the 776 $z (ISBN) or $x (ISSN). Note that this change will be gradual, and that the changed records will be published to Primo.

Library of Congress Authorities Community Zone Updates

The following are the Library of Congress subject authority updates for the period of May 19th through June 15th:

  • Number of records updated: 125
  • Number of records added: 215
  • Number of records deleted: 30

The following are the Library of Congress name authority updates for the period of May 19th through June 15th:

  • Number of records updated: 15184
  • Number of records added: 24598
  • Number of records deleted: 479

The following are the Canadian name authority updates for the period of May 19th through June 15th:

  • Number of records updated: 77
  • Number of records added: 1368
  • Number of records deleted: 12

The following are the Library of Congress Genre/Form Terms (LCGFT) updates for the period of May 19th through June 15th:
