Catalog Search Option

If your Vega base URL is set up, you can use the Catalog Search Option by tapping the Catalog action in the menu. Taping the Catalog action opens the Search Catalog screen. Enter the title, author, or keywords you would like to search. Type ahead suggestions will be offered if available. In the search results you will see for each rollup result:

• Book covers (if available)

• Title

• Author

• Series (if available)

• Publication Date

• Language

• Formats rolled into the work

• Locations that have copies for the selected format.

• Edition Information link

• Share work action

When you tap a format, the locations update to display only the locations that have copies for that format.

Tapping the other locations options allows you to select from all locations that have a copy of a given format of a work

Tapping a location shows you the Item Details for items at that location, including: Shelf Location, Call Number, Status, Due Date, Message, and Barcode. Items can be added to lists by sliding the item to the left and selecting a list.

Additional item details can be reached by tapping a specific item.

Tapping Edition information allows you to view the specific editions for a given format and to explore their details and attached items. The Details view also gives you access to the full MARC record.

To copy the Vega Discover link to a title or to share its link via email, tap Share Work.

Search results can be sorted by Author, Date, New Materials, Relevancy, and Title. The default sort is relevancy.
