Record Link Maintenance from Sierra client
In Sierra 6.6 and newer, authorized library staff can use Record Link Maintenance function directly in the Sierra client through the Admin menu. Record Link Maintenance enables you to maintain the links between bibliographic records and their attached item, order, and holdings (checkin) records.
To maintain the links between the bibliographic records and their attached item, order, and holdings (checkin) records:

In your Sierra client, select Admin | Maintain Record Links.
The Maintain Record Links window displays.

Under Choose Record Link Maintenance Option, select Record Link Maintenance.

Under Action select the desired action for the maintenance function:

REARRANGE attached records alphabetically by location
-
UPDATE locations in bibliographic records
-
BOTH rearrange attached records and update locations

Under Range, select the type of range for filtering the bibliographic records:

Range – Allows you to manually enter a range of bibliographic record. The Start and Stop fields display.

Review – Allows you to select a review file as a list of records. The Review file dropdown displays.

Select Range and manually enter bib record values in the Start and Stop fields.
OR
Select Review and select the desired review file.

Under Type of record to examine, select the type of record:

All – Includes all record types.
-
ITEM – Includes only Item record types.
-
CHECKIN – Includes only Checkin record types.
-
ORDER – Includes only Order record types.

Select a behavior If no attached records of the selected type(s):

Set Bib location to "none"
-
Only set Bib location to "none" if it is "multi"

Don't set Bib location to "none"

Select Start Job.
The records are being processed.
The following information is available in the main processing area:

Function – Indicates the selected action of the maintenance process.

Current – Indicates the current number of records processed.
-
Total – Indicates the total number of records that are being processed.

Status – Indicates the status of the process.

(Optional) Select Stop Job to terminate the job.
The processing job is terminated.
