Exporting Fund Information
To export fund information, you must be assigned either permission 85 (Fund file maintenance) or permission 86 (Fund reports). See Permissions Used by Sierra for more information.
In the Funds function, you can export information about your library's funds as a comma-separated values (.csv) file. You can export information from your current funds or hierarchies, old funds or hierarchies, or specific groups /subgroups within a hierarchy. All information that appears in the Funds tab table can be exported, including:
- Fund name or hierarchy group / subgroup name
- Fund code
- Appropriation
- Expenditure
- Encumbrance
- Free Balance
- Cash Balance
To export fund information:
- Select Funds from the Function list.
- Navigate to the folder that contains the funds you want to export. For example, if you want to export information for your current funds, click the Current Funds folder in the fund tree.
The Funds tab appears.
- Click Export on the toolbar. The Export Funds dialog appears.
- Select the data you want to export.
- Click OK. The Export dialog appears.
- Enter a file name (without an extension).
- Navigate to the folder where you want to save the file.
- Click Export. Sierra exports the fund information and returns you to the Funds tab.
If you are using Sierra Web, the system automatically saves the file to the Downloads folder using the name "funds.csv".
