Customizing Web Works Selection Lists
The Web Works Selection Lists product offers a number of customization options, some of which your library can customize. Other options require you to contact Innovative. These options include:
- Changing the screen presentation via cascading style sheets
- Choosing which review files display
- Updating Web Options
- Defining which Data Elements Display
Changing the Screen Presentation via Cascading Style Sheets
Your library can customize the overall presentation of the screens in the Web Works Selection Lists product by editing the cascading style sheet. By editing the style sheet, you can customize the fonts used, the colors used, and the layout of the different elements on the page.
You can edit the style sheet for Web Works Selection Lists using the same method as the style sheets for WebPAC. When the system prompts you to choose a file for editing, choose the number corresponding to the acqwebapp_styles.css file. See Customizing CSS Files for further information.
Choosing which Review Files Display
Library staff can define which review files display in Web Works Selection Lists. By offering only a subset of review files, users can quickly find a review file without having to search through the entire list of review files used by your system. See Web Works Selection Lists Review Files for further information.
Updating Web Options
Your library can customize certain display elements using the Web Works Selection Lists options. These Web options control the display of icons, top and bottom logos, and other design elements. For information on how to change these Web options, see Updating Web Options.
Defining which Data Elements Display
Your library can determine which data elements display on the Titles Display and Selected Record Display. Web Works Selection Lists is initially configured with default displays; however, your library can contact Innovative at any time to change which data displays.
