SSO for Vega Promote

Vega Promote includes Single Sign-On (SSO), which allows staff to move between Vega LX Starter or Vega Discover and Vega Promote without logging in multiple times.

With SSO:

  • You log in once to Vega staff interface.

  • You can access Vega Promote without entering additional credentials.

  • You can navigate back to the rest of the Vega staff interface from Vega Promote without logging in again.

How SSO works

SSO is between Vega Promote and Vega staff interface is set up for you during onboarding.

Once configured:

  • Vega staff users for your library can navigate to Vega Promote without logging in again.

  • Vega staff users can navigate back to Vega staff interface from Promote without logging in again.

Authentication is shared between the two systems for the duration of your session.

When using SSO with Vega, users have the same admin permission level when accessing Vega Promote.

At this time, user permissions can’t be managed separately within Promote when using SSO. All Vega users are give admin level permission by default for Promote.

Because of this, it’s recommended to limit which users have access to the Vega Promote app in the App Launcher. You should also be cautious when changing default user groups in Promote, as those changes apply to all SSO users and may impact their access. If you need different permission levels, users will need to be created directly in Vega Promote, which means they’ll have separate logins from their Vega staff accounts.

Access Vega Promote from Vega Staff UI (Discover and LX Starter)

You can access Vega Promote directly from the Vega staff interface.

To access Promote from the App Launcher:

  1. Log in to Vega Staff (LX Admin or Discover).

  2. Open the App Launcher.

  3. Select Vega Promote.

    Vega Promote opens in a new browser tab, and you're automatically logged in

If you accidentally remove the app or need to add it again, contact Clarivate to get the URL you need to set the app back up.

Accessing Vega Staff app from Vega Promote

You can also navigate back to Vega staff UI from within Vega Promote.

To access Vega staff UI from Vega Promote:

  1. While in Vega Promote, locate and select Vega Staffin the left side navigation.

    Vega staff opens and you're automatically logged in

Authentication Behavior

  • You only need to log in once per session.

  • Authentication is shared across both systems.

  • No separate credentials are required for ActiveCampaign.

  • No API keys or manual log-in steps are required for staff users. All setup is done during onboarding.

This ensures a consistent and secure experience when switching between applications.
