Catalog Database Status

The Catalog DATABASE status option in Admin Corner displays information about the number of patron searches, requests, suggestions, heading changes, and certain categories of fixed-length field codes. For example:

The system reports the number of fixed-length field codes your library uses in certain categories, such as branches (i.e., locations), languages and countries.

The system also reports:

  • the approximate number of OPAC searches that have been performed since a particular date. The exact number is given in the View Current Searches report.
  • the number of patron requests awaiting review
  • the number of patron suggestions awaiting review
  • the number of additional items patrons want the library to acquire
  • the number of heading changes (such as blind references and headings used for the first time)
