Catalog Database Status
The Catalog DATABASE status option in Admin Corner displays information about the number of patron searches, requests, suggestions, heading changes, and certain categories of fixed-length field codes. For example:
INNOVATIVE CATALOG DATABASE STATUS There are 44 branches, 378 languages, 327 countries. Approximately 258 OPAC transactions since 07-29-92, including 12 patron requests. There are 2 patron suggestions to view. There are 1 add'l items library should acquire. There are 345 heading changes to report. The system reports the number of fixed-length field codes your library uses in certain categories, such as branches (i.e., locations), languages and countries.
The system also reports:
- the approximate number of OPAC searches that have been performed since a particular date. The exact number is given in the View Current Searches report.
- the number of patron requests awaiting review
- the number of patron suggestions awaiting review
- the number of additional items patrons want the library to acquire
- the number of heading changes (such as blind references and headings used for the first time)
