Copying Patron Records

By default, Sierra copies the values of the following fields from one patron record to another when you copy a patron record.

• ADDRESS
• ADDRESS2
• EXP DATE
• HOME LIBR
• PAT AGENCY
• PATRN NAME
• TELEPHONE
• TELEPHONE2

If you want to change the fields whose value Sierra copies, please contact Innovative. Innovative can configure Sierra to copy the values of all patron record fields except the following.

• BIRTH DATE
• BLK UNTIL
• BOOKING
• CIRCACTIVE
• CL RTRND
• CUR CHKOUT
• CUR ITEMA
• CUR ITEMB
• CUR ITEMC
• CUR ITEMD
• FAMILY ID
• FINE
• HLODUES
• ILL REQUES
• MONEY OWED
• OD PENALTY
• PAT IMAGE
• PIUSE
• TOT CHKOUT
• TOT RENWAL

If you use a template with a default value for a copied field, Sierra assigns the default value from the template to the copied field. If the template does not have a default value for a copied field, Sierra copies the value from the patron record or leaves it blank.
