Inventory Dates

After you have viewed (and printed) the Inventory Shelf List report and have chosen Q > QUIT to exit the report, the system asks if you would like to update the inventory dates for the items that were inventoried:

Update inventory date for inventoried items? (y/n)

If you answer 'y' to this question, the system will put today's date in the INVDA fixed-length field in the item records of all inventoried items that were actually found on the shelf (whether or not they were in the correct location).

The inventory date field can only be updated in the Compare file of barcodes to shelf list option.
