Mobile Release Notes April 2026

Action Required - Apple Developer Account Agreement Update

Apple has recently released an updated Developer Program License Agreement - the third this year (January 13, March 17, and March 31). This agreement must be accepted by the Account Owner before Clarivate can submit any future updates to your iOS app.

What You Need To Do

To maintain uninterrupted access and ensure continued delivery of future updates, please review and accept the new agreement by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your Apple Developer account and open Account.
Make sure you're logging in as the account owner as this can't be completed by anyone else.

  2. Look for a banner indicating a pending agreement and select Review Agreement.

  3. Review the terms and click I Agree.

Please complete this acknowledgment process as soon as possible to avoid any disruptions to your service. If this is not accepted, you can’t be upgraded to any pending or future release of the Vega Mobile Library App.

NEW! Vega Mobile for Libraries UAT App

Starting April 7, each customer can access their own UAT (User Acceptance Testing) app environment - available for individual libraries and consortia.

The Vega Mobile UAT environment provides libraries with a safe, isolated space to test app configurations, explore dynamic tabs, and preview changes before publishing to their live app. Changes will need to be copied from the UAT app to the live production app.

How to access from each store:

  • App Name: Vega Mobile for Libraries

A single app will exist in the app stores.

  • Input your Global Location ID to access your space

  • The Site Admin will have immediate access and will need to grant permissions for other users

Notes
  • Available as part of the subscription and Site Admin can choose to use the app at any time once it is available on April 7.

  • There are CMS settings that a Site Admin can’t change: Data Provider, Search Data Provider, Events Data Provider, Tracker Data Provider, List Data Provider, eContent Providers

  • Due to app store limitations, live circulation notices cannot be tested in the UAT app.

  • Consortia libraries will receive one additional template for member library testing - it will not contain all templates.

  • Recommended best practices for consortia:

    • Schedule testing windows for each member library, so only one team is editing configurations at a time.

    • Use naming conventions that clearly identify the library conducting the test.

    • Document test activities in a shared tracker or notes file, so others know what’s been modified.

Features

PayPal Support: Patrons can now pay fees, fines, or other charges on their account using PayPal. Payments are processed securely and updated in real time for a seamless experience.

Vega Discover Search | Dynamic Format Facets: Search results now display only relevant media formats using standardized, friendly labels. Format labels are dynamically generated based on available results and can reflect site-configured naming, ensuring accurate and consistent filtering options for patrons.

View Apps Using Data Provider: Content Management System Administrators can now see which mobile and web apps are using a selected data provider directly within the Content Management System. If no apps are linked, “(none)” is displayed, helping prevent updates in the wrong place.

CircIT Tag Support: Added support for CircIT RFID tags from Tech Logic, enabling the app to correctly read and process items with this tag format.

Polaris | Series Search: Added support for searching by the first part of a series title (before the semicolon) to improve search accuracy.

Updates

Polaris | Search Sort & Limit: The search now ignores invalid sort values like any or all and correctly formats the limit parameter for more accurate results.

Bibliocommons Search | Improved eContent Handling: The app now correctly recognizes all types of eContent titles, ensuring links and digital content open reliably, even for recently added or updated records.

Vega Discover Search | Facet Standardization: Search facets have been standardized for clarity: location facets now appear as LIMIT and intended audience facets as TARGET, improving consistency across searches.

Tab Image Size Limit: Images larger than 2 MB are now automatically removed to prevent performance issues and ensure smooth display.

Fixes

Polaris | Metadata Cleanup: Search result metadata is now stripped of unnecessary HTML tags (<b>, <p>, <span>) for cleaner display.

Polaris | Search Results: Fixed an issue where duplicate search results could appear, ensuring each title displays only once.

Payments Activity View Error: Fixed a null reference error when viewing payments that had not yet been fulfilled.

Sierra | Null Check for Loan Subtitle: Added a safeguard to prevent failures when subtitle data is missing.

Vega Discover | Search Facet Handling: Fixed an issue where empty facet values could cause incorrect search behavior.

Patron Expiration Date Time Zone: Fixed an issue where expiration dates could appear one day off by correctly applying time zone localization.
