Features

Direct Open for Certain Resources: Some items or resources, like eContent that can’t be loaned or bookable equipment, now include a button that opens a URL directly, allowing patrons to access these resources seamlessly without leaving the app.

Bookable Equipment Support: Records for bookable equipment now include a Book Now button that opens the booking page directly. The app treats these items like eContent for display purposes, ensuring a clear action button without attempting a traditional Loan or Hold.

Mobile App Payment Transaction Reporting: CMS Administrators can view and download detailed reports of payment transactions made through mobile apps. Reports can be filtered by date and include failed transactions for complete tracking of app revenue and user purchases.

Show/Hide Password During Login: Patrons signing in with a borrower number and PIN (non-SSO) can tap the eye icon on the app's login screen to temporarily reveal their password. Tapping the icon again hides it, helping users enter their credentials accurately and reducing login errors.

Polaris | Improved Item Details: Item details such as titles, authors, ISBNs, and cover images are now more accurate and consistent for patrons.

Human Verification | Specific Failure Codes for Turnstile and reCAPTCHA: Login failures due to human verification now return distinct codes, making it easier to identify and troubleshoot verification issues.

My Lists | Improved Support for Adding Items: Adding items to patron lists now fully supports both Works and eContent items, including metadata like titles, authors, and images.

Polaris | New API for Item Details in Self-Check: Self-check now uses Polaris’s newer API for item details, improving accuracy, while still supporting older versions via SIP fallback.

CMS | TinyMCE Editor Supports <i> and <svg> Tags: Rich text fields now allow <i> and <svg> elements, enabling better markup flexibility for channels, tabs, and email templates.

Vega Discover Search | Search by Concept: Patrons can now search using Concept in addition to Title, Author, and Series, making it easier to find related materials by topic or idea.

Fixes

Fixed Facet Filtering: Faceted search now works correctly, so when patrons filter search results by categories like format, subject, or language, the results match their selections. This ensures patrons can find exactly what they’re looking for without missing relevant items.

Sierra | Hold Information Accuracy: Resolved an issue where some holds could fail to display pickup locations or related details due to missing information. Holds now always show correct pickup locations and statuses, so patrons can see accurate information about where and when they can collect their items.

Home Screen Carousels | Hide Empty Carousels: Fixed an issue where carousels with no items were still appearing in the app. Empty carousels now automatically disappear, keeping the home screen cleaner and easier to navigate when not properly configured or has bad data.

Ad- Hoc Notifications | Immediate Send Time Corrected: Fixed an issue where notifications set to Immediate were scheduled at the wrong time due to time zone differences. On APAC servers, these notifications could be sent up to 22 hours late, and in Pacific Time they could appear up to 16 hours early. Immediate notifications are now sent at the correct time regardless of server or regional time zone.

OverDrive | Loan Return Error Details: When a loan return is denied, the app now shows the reason provided by OverDrive's APIs. For example, items checked out to Kindle must be returned via Amazon, and the app will now clearly communicate this to the patron.

Payments | Improved handling for slow ILS responses: The app now better manages situations where fulfilling a payment through the ILS takes longer than 1 second (1000ms). This applies to all supported payment methods through the Solus Library App, helping ensure the app responds smoothly even if the backend is slow.

Polaris | Improved Checkout Display: When checking out items, the app now correctly shows the book title and cover image for Polaris items, so patrons can easily confirm the item they’re borrowing.

Sierra | ILL Hold Status Improvements: Interlibrary loan (ILL) holds now display the correct status at all times, so patrons can see the true progress of their requests. This makes it easier to know exactly when their holds are ready for pickup.
