Secure FTP Available
Innovative can enable secure FTP for this feature upon request.
When you choose the T > TRANSMIT bursar file menu option, Innovative's File Transfer Software (FTS) sends the bursar.send file from the system to the bursar's office machine.
The only information that you normally will need to enter to complete the transfer is a password for the login on the bursar's office machine. The system prompts you to enter this password. The system may, for example, present a series of messages similar to the following, pausing only to allow you to enter the password:
Sending a file to a remote machine: Remote machine ID: webster Login name: library password: ....... Name of file on remote machine: innopac.charge Transfer completed
To protect system security, characters are not displayed as the password is entered.
The system displays the following message to indicate the successful transfer of the file: Transfer completed.
You can now remove the file from the system.
