Syndetics Unbound, NYT, and Vega Widgets Merged into one View
The widgets previously displayed on the Resources and Details view tabs of the Full Record for titles in Vega have been merged into a single view. A best logical order has been applied to the display of these widgets in the following order: Series, Library Lists, NYT Bestsellers, Reading Level, You May Also Like, Related Resources, Topics, Reader Reviews, Professional Reviews, Awards, Book Profile, About the Author, Contributors. A reminder that all Syndetics and NYT showcase widgets can be toggled on or off in the Vega Staff Admin settings. Later in the quarter, a configuration setting will be added that allows libraries to choose the preferred order for all widgets.
Polaris Forgot My Password Workflow
An “I forgot my passcode” link is added to the login modal for Polaris ILS libraries using Vega Discover. This link will take the patron to a screen where they can enter their barcode or username. Vega will send a password reset link to the patron’s email address. Following the password reset link will allow the patron to update their password. The password policy configured in the Vega Staff Admin Patron Settings will be presented to assist the patron in creating a password of the desired complexity. Passwords will be updated in the patron’s record in Polaris.
Patron Notification Preference (Sierra Only)
A patron notification preference option is added to the Patron Settings in the Vega Staff Admin. At this time only Sierra ILS libraries are advised to use this option. Turning on the Patron Notification Preference will allow the library to select which notification types they support. Selected types will appear to patrons in their Patron Profile in Vega Discover.
For Polaris ILS customers: A problem with the text message phone carrier was found that requires some additional work to support text message notifications for Polaris Libraries. This update will be coming soon. Until that update is provided Polaris libraries that use Text Message notifications should not turn on this option and expose Patron Notification Preference selection to their patrons.

Bug Fixes
InnReach Passthrough Search Fix
A problem was fixed where the InnReach passthrough search from Vega to an InnReach catalog was including trailing punctuation in the Author and Title information that was sent in the search query. This resulted in no results found for many searches in the InnReach catalog. Vega now removes all trailing punctuation when sending a query through the InnReach passthrough link.
