Series Searching

Series titles are now indexed into the title and default everything index in Vega. Additionally when a title has series information, that Series title will display as a link in the search results and on the full resource page beneath the title, author, publication and language data. Clicking the Series title link will run a search for the series in the title index.

Support will be running indexing to populate Series titles into your search indexes soon. Once that indexing is complete you will see your Series title information.

Items Sort Improvement

Items in the Editions table are now sorted by Call Number within each edition. Items listed in the Location Drawer now have a secondary sort by Call Number applied (first sort is by publication date).

Multiple Branch Hours Configuration Options

You can now configure Library Info, including library address location, contact info and hours for all branch locations at your Vega libraries. To configure library info you will first choose the location hierarchy level that represents your library branches. Then you can choose a default location for hours; this default location will be the default selected display location for any guest (unauthenticated) users of your Vega Discover website. Each individual branch location can be selected and configured with separate location, contact and hours settings. Hours configuration has been further enhanced with the ability to copy Branch Hours and Exceptions configurations to other branch locations for quicker entry. Additionally an hours override setting has been added that will allow you to link out to a website where you already display your library hours. When the hours override is configured the display text you set will display under the hours section of the library info popup in Vega and will open your external hours link in a new tab when clicked. If there are any branches that should be excluded from the Library Info selector in Vega you can choose to hide individual locations as needed. When multiple branches are configured, guests and patrons will be able to select from a drop-down each configured branch to view the library info. Authenticated patrons will see their patron home location branch hours as the default selection when viewing library info. If you have not previously configured Library info the setting can be found in the Staff Admin under Settings > Docking Framework > User Tools.

Serials Availability Fix

Authenticated patrons will now see Serials availability and call number for their patron home location when logged into Vega.
