Discover Release Notes June 2022
Release Date: June 7, 2022
Global Header Configuration Update
The Global Header configuration found in the Staff Admin under Docking framework > Global Header and the kiosk and collection site Global Header settings have been updated for a consistent and cleaner configuration experience.
In Vega Discover you will see two small updates in the Header. First is an “All” button on the links panel that will open a drawer listing your configured links. Second is the header level search has been collapsed to a button that will open a search box. This search is presented on all Vega screens and is the only search box when a patron is not viewing a resource page, agent, topic, or showcase. These changes will support the more header links feature that is coming soon.
If you use custom translations, you will need to update the translation file(s) to accommodate the new strings added with this development. Namely: "allLinksButton" and "allLinksTitle".
Privacy Policy Links
Based on feedback from Vega Libraries we have modified the way Privacy Policy links display in Vega Discover. If your library configures a ‘Link to Library Privacy Policy’ in the Global Header configuration for your Vega Discover main site, kiosk, or collection site, only the library privacy policy link will display in the footer of Vega Discover. If no ‘Link to Library Privacy Policy’ is configured in the Global Header, both of the Innovative site links will display instead.

Additional Links in the Global Header
The Global Header configuration found in the Staff Admin under Docking framework > Global Header and the kiosk and collection site Global Header settings have been updated with the ability to configure up to 7 links. These links are created on individual tabs that can be dragged and dropped to change the order that the links will display across the header. Links will display in Vega Discover in the order of the tabs in the Global Header configuration. There is no character limit to the link text field. By default you will see two tabs representing the previously offered two links configuration. To add new links use the “Add New” button above the tabs display. To delete a link, click the ‘trash’ icon on that link tab.
