Tile Containers

A new tile type has been introduced to campusM: a Tile container. Tile containers are a way to further organize the campusM homepage and reduce clutter by grouping other tiles together. Tile containers support full customization in order to align with existing branding and provide a cleaner, more engaing look. Tiles inside a container are called subtiles.
Subtiles can be linked to one or more tile containers (for example, an email tile can be linked to a "Useful tools" container for the student role, and to the "Administration" container for the staff role), while preserving the existing role- and tag- based personalization in place. Administrators can add as many subtiles to a tile container as necessary. Subtitles may display a notification badge.
The Tile Container functionality collects Analytics data, but the data will become visible in Q1 2026.

App Manager UI Improvements

The campusM App Manager user interface has been enhanced with aligned color schemes, updated icons, images and more to deliver a more unified and polished experience for campusM administrators.
Splash Screen Support for iOS Devices
November 2025 CAM-XXXXX
React Native now supports working with splash screens on iOS devices. Administrators can now configure splash screens to display on application startup. For iPhone, administrators can set splash screen images in portrait mode, while for iPad, both portrait mode and landscape mode images can be set. If there are no images set, the app icon is shown.

Deep Links Support

campusM now supports deep linking from any source, enabling end-users to scan QR codes or receive links in emails that direct them to a certain place in the app.

Removal of Old Content Editor

The old "Content Editor", formerly found in App Settings has been removed. For editing static content, please use Creative Studio, which includes more capabilities and features, while still allowing to edit CSS and HTML directly.
App Builder UX Improvements

As a part of an ongoing development, the Recents Icon field has been renamed to Small Icon in the App Builder tile configuration pane. Additionally, to improve user experience and clarity when creating new tiles, the Tile Types and Tile Properties dropdown lists in the App Builder now display in an alphabetized order.
Increased Session Timeout for App Manager

In App Manager, users were logged out after 10 minutes of inactivity. This was now increased to 60 minutes of inactivity before a user is automatically logged out, to match other Ex Libris products.
Support for All-Day and Multi-Day Events

The mobile and web calendar now support multi-day events, and display them appropriately.
This is supported for the Outlook and RESTful API Timetable PI vendors, and for events coming from the Events PI (regardless of vendor).
New Product Integration - Self Checkout

The Self Checkout product integration allows library patrons to independently check out items from the library on their own using only their phones or desktop browser.

Selection of Multiple Alerts - Web

End-users can now select multiple Alerts in on the web app in order to Mark as Read or Delete them in bulk.
Selection of Multiple Alerts - Mobile

End-users can now select multiple Alerts in the mobile app in order to Mark as Read or Delete them in bulk. This functionality is accessed by tapping the "Edit" button on the top left of the screen.
End-users may manually select several alerts by tapping on them, select all alerts by using the "Select all" option, and deselect all alerts by using the "Clear" option. After selecting the desired alerts and selecting the desired action, users are asked if they are sure they want to perform the action. Once the alerts are deleted/marked as read, a small feedback message appears.
This ability is currently mobile-only, and will be added to the web app in future releases.
PrimoVE Product Integration - slimmer UI

To allow for more room in the PrimoVE Product Integration screen, and specifically for the new AI Research Assistant, the campusM UI on the screen edges has been made smaller.
Zoom for the Attendance Camera

For institutions that use attendance with QR code validation: when opening their device camera to scan, end-users can now zoom their camera in and out using pinch gestures. This allows end-users to scan QR codes that may be further away from them, for example, when sitting in the back of a large lecture hall.
Calendar - Endless Scrolling in Agenda View

In Agenda view, scrolling is now continuous. End-users can scroll backwards and forwards to see the activities from previous and future days.

Calendar - Configurable Default Notification Behavior

Previously, all non-attendance timetable events generated a push notification 15 minutes before the start of the event by default. This new setting determines the default mobile notification behavior for users who have not configured otherwise in their app settings. When enabled, a push notification will be sent to a user's mobile device 15 minutes before a scheduled event. When disabled, no notification will be sent prior to the event. Note that this setting is not applicable to attendance calendars, as their notification settings can be found in the Attendance section of App Manager.

Calendar - Add to My Calendar

Calendar - Events Now Included in Web App

Events for which end-users registered or which they marked as favorites (by selecting their Heart icons
) can now be incorporated into their calendars in the Web app. (They were already included in the calendars of React Native mobile apps.) End-users can choose whether to show or hide events in the calendar display by selecting Calendars.

Floor Plans

You can now create a map from an image file. If you then link the map to a position, end-users can see the map in the app when they select the position. This can be useful, for example, for providing floor plans of the interiors of buildings, or a custom campus map. The image is displayed in the bottom drawer, in the new Floor Plan tab, and the position it is linked to is marked on the image. In mobile apps under React Native, the image is displayed in the bottom drawer, in the Floor Plan tab, and the position to which it is linked is marked on the image. In the web app, the image is displayed in the Maps tab.

Product Integration - Newsfeed

A new product integration has been introduced into campusM: a Newsfeed service. This feature allows you to add one or more feeds, either as RSS feeds or API endpoints, to a Newsfeed page. Users can access this page from a tile on the homepage. The main page of the Newsfeed UI displays the headlines of the items, which it receives from the linked feeds. Users can select these items to view their full content. This feature can be used, for example, to incorporate headlines from two feeds, one an RSS feed of breaking stories from a general news agency, and the other an internal news feed from your organization, supplied via an API endpoint and introducing new developments on campus.
Multiple feeds can be included in a single Newsfeed, and the feeds can be filtered by the end-user to limit the display to selected feeds. Feeds are updated automatically every five minutes, so they are always kept up to date. End-users can also choose to view feed items from preceding days, to save favorites, and to search for items whose titles and authors' names contain a specified string of text.

Login - Logo Displayed on Select a Profile Page

React Native now supports the display of the institution's logo on the Select a Profile page. If a logo is selected in the Change app device icons page (App Settings > App Settings > Web App Icons), this logo is displayed in the Select a Profile page, followed by the Welcome message configured in Change general settings page (App Settings > App Settings > General Settings). (If no logo is selected, it is replaced in the Select a Profile page with the text, "Welcome to [app name]." "Welcome to" in this message is translatable.)

Notification Center - Advanced Role Notification

A new option has been added to the Send Advanced-role Notification page: Under Select your operator, the Only option has been added. Select this option if you only want to send the notification to users with the role selected under First Role. This modification does not add any new functionality to the feature. It was adopted after internal testing showed that it improved performance.

Maps - PC Availability Information

React Native now supports the display of PC-availability information in maps. This feature can be used by institutions that provide PCs for students to use, for example, in libraries or laboratory environments. If your institution offers this type of service to students, and your system keeps track of which PCs are in use at any given time and which are available for students to use, you can provide this information in campusM maps. To do this, your system must have a server that can provide information about PC availability at specific positions whenever it is requested.
PC-availability information can be included in maps by attaching it to a special location category. When the end-user selects this location category in a map, a list of relevant locations opens at the bottom of the map. The list includes information about the total number of PCs found at each relevant site and the number of these PCs currently available for use.

Analytics - Analysis of Page Views by User Role

Two new subject areas have been added to Analytics:
- Home Page by Roles
- Pages by Roles
These new subject areas enable you to break down data about tile and page selection by user roles. For example, from the Home Page by Roles subject area, you can create a report that shows how many users with specific roles selected each tile in the homepage. This can indicate which tiles are most useful to users of different types. Based on this information, you might decide to move certain popular tiles to the top of the homepage for specific types of users, or remove certain tiles that are never used by specific types of users from the homepage entirely.
Two out-of-the-box (OTB) reports built on these subject areas are also now available:
- Home Page by Role OTB
- Pages by Role OTB
These reports can be used to quickly create reports of tile- and page-use per user role.
