Create a Purchase Order Manually
You need the Purchase Orders: Create permission to manually create a purchase order. For more information about purchase order permissions, see Acquisitions Permissions Reference.
To create a purchase order manually

Select New > Purchase Order.
The New Purchase Order workform opens with the following fields prefilled:

(Optional) Change prefilled values.
When you are changing Type and Method, keep in mind the following combinations of order types, payment methods, and fund types that you can use in Leap:

Fill in the required PO Number and Supplier fields.

Select SAVE.
The system creates the purchase order and opens the Purchase Order workform. For more information on the purchase order workform, see View or Edit a Purchase Order.
To create a purchase order manually with templates enabled

Select New > Purchase Order.
The New Purchase Order dialog opens.

Select a template to help prefill your library's designated fields in the new purchase order in addition to the fields automatically prefilled when you select None. Selecting None prefills the same fields prefilled in a new purchase order.

Select OK.
The New Purchase Order workform opens.

Fill in the required fields (PO Number and Supplier), and select SAVE.
The system creates the purchase order and opens the Purchase Order workform. For more information on the purchase order workform, see View or Edit a Purchase Order.
