Delete a Collection

To delete a collection

  1. Select Collections.

    The Collections page opens showing a table of collections.

  2. Find the collection you want to delete.

    To interact with the collections list:

    • Type a term or partial term in the Search box to filter the list.

    • Scroll to the bottom of the list to adjust collections displayed per page or navigate among pages.

  3. Select the Actions menu.

  4. Select Delete.

    The Delete Collection dialog appears.

  5. Select Continue.

    The system checks for linked objects and features that use the collection. These links prevent the collection from being deleted, and you must resolve the conflicts before deleting the collection. Possible linked objects and features include:

    • Item records

    • Reserve item records

    • Item templates

    • Reserve item templates

    • Serial holdings records

    • Quick-circ item records

    • Standing order part records

    • Selection list line item segments

    • Purchase order line item segments

    • Invoice line item segments

  6. If the system detects an item, object, or feature linked to the collection, follow the steps in Resolve Branch Removal Conflicts.

    The system deletes the collection.
