New Section in Primo NDE Presents Similar Items to the Title

Aadded a section to Primo NDE that displays similar items to the image in the current title (e.g., image of a boat will present other titles that contain images of boats). The system uses a Vector DB to create a visual similarity database for each digital record.

This feature works for titles containing digital content only, and needs to be turned on via the Primo NDE View Configurations.

Added Entity Group Status Icons

The Extraction status for each Entity Group is clearly indicated in the lower left corner of the entity group image.

The Groups screen displays the status of each group using the following indicators:

  • Untagged: Question mark icon - the user can tag the resource with or without authority

  • Tagged: Green checkmark icon - the entity group has been linked to a name or description

  • Dismissed: Red X icon - the entity group has been dismissed for various reasons

  • In Progress: Green spinner icon (display-only, no actions available) - a process is currently being run on the entity group

Each status will enable users to perform different actions:

  • Untagged: Edit Entity Group, Dismiss Entity

  • Tagged: Edit Entity Group (triggers re-tagging and sets status to In Progress), Dismiss Entity (clears tagging and converts to recommendation)

  • Dismissed: View Recommendation, Restore Entity (restores recommendation and sets status to Untagged)

  • In Progress: All actions disabled until tagging completes

Expanded Representation-level Share Options from Viewer

Extended IIIF sharing capabilities have been introduced, allowing users to share directly from the viewer. The shared file contains a copy of Manifest and direct link to the representation.

Sharing is only available for users that have the access rights and permissions to share.
