Synchronization between Entity Tag and Metadata Field Value with Authority

Entity tags in the viewer now derive their display name from the linked metadata field value (per title) . Tags reflect the cataloging language of each record, where relevant. The Preferred Term Corrections job also updates tag names on the individual entity level and group level when the authority record is updated. Additionally, manual field updates propagate to the entity tag, and removing a linked field removes the tag.

This functionality ensures entity tags remain in sync with authority updates, eliminating stale tags in the viewer.

Update Entity Tag Based on Metadata Field Update

When a metadata field linked to an entity tag is updated, the entity name is automatically updated, mirroring the behavior of a manual tag edit. When a linked metadata field is removed, the associated entity tag is also removed, mirroring the behavior of a manual untag.

This update allows entity tags to remain in sync with metadata changes, eliminating stale or inconsistent tags that previously required manual correction by catalogers.

Bulk Dismiss and Restore for Objects

This enhancement introduces dismiss and restore actions for object groups.

This enhancement improves Object management by allowing catalogers to perform bulk dismiss or restore actions on object groups via the Objects flow, in alignment with the other entity management flows.

PDF and TIFF Files Larger than 2GB Available for Download Only - Configuration

Configuration is available so PDF and TIFF files larger than 2GB will not be displayed in the NDE embedded viewer. For these resources, a download option will be available instead, assuming download is allowed for the resource.
