Edit a Branch

You can edit a branch if you have the Branches: Modify permission enabled in Polaris System Administration (web-based). For more information about system administration permissions, see System Administration Permissions Reference.

To edit a branch

  1. On the Polaris System Administration (web-based) Home page, select Organizations.

    The Organizations page appears.

  2. Find the branch you want to edit. You can filter the list of organizations by typing the branch name in the Search box.

  3. In the Actions column, select Options Options button, and select Edit.

    The branch record appears.

  4. Edit branch information. See Add a Branch for more information about branch fields.

    Important:
    If you change the parent library for the branch, be sure to review the settings and permissions for the branch and the new parent library. Some settings are inherited from parent organizations, so changing the parent library might affect the way some functions work at the branch.

  5. Select SAVE.
