Suppressing Resources Based on Origin

Categories determine whether links to target resources are displayed or suppressed based on the origin. For a link to a target resource to display from an origin, the resource and origin must be assigned to the same category.

If a target resource is not appropriate to an origin, you can suppress the display of the resource by assigning the origin and resource to different categories. For example, you can create a category called Full Text and assign to it only external origins and resources that offer the full text of articles.

If a category that is assigned to a resource definition does not match the category assigned to the user's origin, the link to the resource is suppressed.

The use of categories is required.
