Map item status

The Item Status Mapping page lists the following information:

  • Code - Item status codes that are assigned to records
  • Description - The plain language description for each code
  • Get It Button - Indicates whether the Get It button should appear when the code is assigned to an item
  • Availability - Indicates whether an item should appear as available or unavailable when the code is assigned

To map item status

  1. From the Settings menu, select Item Status Mapping.
    The Item Status Mapping page opens.
  2. In the Get it button column, select from the following options:
  • Display Get it
  • Suppress Get it

    • The Get It action button displays different text depending on the type of material.

    For example, electronic content that you can check out now may display Get It, while electronic content that you access outside the library catalog may display Check Availability. Physical content that you request from the library may display Place Hold or Request.

  1. In the Availability column, select from the following states:
    • Unavailable
    • Available
  2. When you are done, select SAVE at the bottom of the page.
