Suppress items by status
You can suppress items by their status. Suppressing items affects display and search results in the following ways:
- Items that have the suppressed status don’t appear in the location drawer and editions table in Vega Discover.
- If you suppress all items in a specific location, the location doesn’t appear on the following system components:
- Search Results page
- Resource page
- Edition table
- Location drawer
- If you suppress all items for a title in a location, searches that filter by location don’t return the title.
- Suppressed items don’t affect the number of copies that appear on the Resource page.
- If you suppress all items for a work, the work appears as unavailable with no linked locations, and the editions table shows the instance details. (This is how it would appear if there were no items attached to the bibliographic record.)
To suppress items by status
- From the Settings menu, select Item Status Mapping.
The Item Status Mapping page opens. - In the Suppressed column, select the checkbox for the item statuses that you want to suppress.
