After you complete MARC extraction of your records, it's important to synchronize the material types, statuses, collections, locations, and message codes between Vega and your ILS.
If you add new material types, statuses, collections, locations, or OPAC message codes, the ILS code synchronization creates new translation strings.
To synchronize ILS codes
- In the upper-right corner, select Settings
. - From the Settings menu, select Integrations > ILS code synchronization.
The ILS code synchronization page opens. - Under Material type, status, (Polaris only) collection, and (Sierra only) message code synchronization, select Sync now.
A confirmation message appears. - Under Location Synchronization, select Sync now.
A confirmation message appears.
When synchronization is complete, bibliographic records are available in Vega.
To schedule daily ILS code synchronization
- In the upper-right corner, select Settings .
- From the Settings menu, select Integrations > ILS code synchronization.
The ILS code synchronization page opens. - Enter the time to start the synchronization.
- Select Save changes.
