Additional Enhancements

• March 2025 Analytics and Insights Idea ExchangeURM-229373 The Portfolio General Note field was added to E-Inventory > Portfolio and E-Inventory > Portfolio Details for Consortia Members > Portfolio. It lists all the General Notes of the portfolio, concatenated with the newest note first. Multiple values are separated by semicolons. For more information, see E-Inventory.
• March 2025 Analytics and Insights Idea ExchangeURM-140921 The Summary Holdings Non-Public Note and Summary Holdings Public Note fields were added to Physical Items > Holdings Details. These fields display the non-public notes and public notes on the holdings found in MARC fields 866 subfield x and 866 subfield z, respectively. Multiple values are separated by semicolons. If multiple items are attached to the holdings and match the request, they will all become ‘missing‘. Do you want to proceed?‘

When Alma received a response indicating that the KERIS system did not accept the ‘received‘ response, it presented an error message, even though the borrowing request was successfully received in Alma. This was fixed.

07205245 URM-227566	Metadata Management	In the Metadata Editor, a Page Unresponsive error occurred when cataloging a field linked to a Controlled Vocabulary with many values. This issue has been resolved, and now results are retrieved immediately, displaying no more than the first 100 entries, which are updated dynamically as characters are typed.
07155394 URM-223197	Metadata Management	Customers have reported experiencing slowness when saving local extensions in Community Zone records, especially when the local server and the Community Zone instance are geographically distant. This delay is primarily due to network traffic factors. This was fixed by improving performance in such cases by eliminating a redundant API call when only local extensions are modified, not the core Community Zone fields.

07017153 URM-218116	Metadata Management	MD Import: When selecting Unlink record from Community Zone and create a local record, subfield 9 of local fields is deleted. This was fixed by adding a new customer parameter:import_unlink_cz_remove_subfield_9_from_local_fields with default ‘true‘, under the Resources > Other settings. When the customer parameter is set to ‘false‘ subfield 9 of local fields is not deleted.

07498375 URM-232241	Metadata Management	When $v (sequence number) was updated in the bibliographic record (4XX fields) but no other change was made to the linked authorites, the contribution to SBN did not recognize that there was a change to be processed. This was fixed.

The same issue was also observed in the Uniform Titles tab. The issue has now been resolved, and the ‘Creating Institution‘ field correctly appears as a clickable link in both tabs.
06771617 URM-197526	Metadata Management	Cloud App NACSIS-CAT: In the VOLG section, XISBNs from other VOLs were incorrectly mixed together, causing all XISBNs to be displayed in each VLOG action instead of showing only the relevant XISBN for each VLOG. This issue has been fixed, and now only the appropriate XISBN is displayed for each VLOG.

In such cases, user A overrides the action of user B when the item is saved. This has been fixed by displaying a message when the item is saved, enabling the editing user (user A) to decide whether to cancel the changes done in the editor (but keep the process type change done by user B), or save the changes and update the item with the process type changes done by user B.

This was fixed, and now, if desired for additional security, it is possible to configure an expiration time in General > Other Settings > pgp_key_expiry_days. For example, to expire after a year, configure 365. If left blank, it does not expire.
