Encore 4.9 Features and Enhancements

Encore 4.9 includes the following features and enhancements:

Configuration of the Dublin Core Metadata Format Used for Harvesting

This feature requires Sierra 4.3 or later.

Libraries can now configure which Dublin Core metadata format to use when harvesting records. In the Sierra Administration Application, staff can select the metadataPrefix while creating a harvester profile.

Repository Set Information for Harvested Collections

This feature requires Sierra 4.3 or later.

In Encore 4.7, what appears in the Collection Field of harvested data was changed. This field previously displayed the repository collection's setName data, and it was changed to display the Repository Name configuration that is configured in the Sierra Administration Application when setting up a harvest.

Based on customer feedback, the Set information has been added back to the metadata displayed in Encore. This change helps patrons know which collections in the repository they might want to browse.
