Redesigned Workflow for the Axis 360 Integration

You must have Sierra Release 2.4, Millennium Release 2014 SP3, or INN-Reach 3.0 to customize certain messages and settings.

In response to Axis 360 API performance issues, the Axis 360 workflow was redesigned to deliver a better user experience.

Removal of Cancel All Button

Per a 2016 Encore IUG enhancement winner, the ‘Cancel All’ button has been removed from the Holds display in the Patron Account.

Running Encore on Java 8

In Encore 4.5 SP2, focus was placed on improving Encore performance. The most significant change is that Encore now runs on Java 8. We expect that the change from Java 6 to Java 8 will allow for more efficient handling of Encore sessions during peak usage times, thereby improving Encore stability.

Java 8 is bundled with Encore 4.5 SP2. Consequently, your library does not have to install Java 8 separately. Running Java 8 on your Encore server does not conflict with Java 6 on your Sierra server.
