Encore 5.5 Features and Enhancements

Encore 5.5 requires Sierra 5.5. You must install Sierra 5.5 before attempting to install Encore 5.5.

Encore 5.5 includes the following enhancement:

The OverDrive Checkouts API changed in January 2022. When downloading eContent, Encore now offers a new OverDrive-hosted fulfillment experience where patrons can select a format and open the content, as well as download any necessary software. See Checking Out OverDrive Items for more information.

Encore 5.5 is the first release that bundles the OverDrive changes. The changes have also been delivered as hotfixes for versions 5.4, 5.3, and 5.2.
