Accessibility Improvement: Enhanced Link Text Contrast
We improved the contrast ratio of link text. The updated link color exceeds the requirement of 4.5:1, achieving a contrast ratio of 5.24:1 for improved readability and compliance.
Update on Display of English Translation Strings
Following the June 5/6 release, some English text appeared in lowercase unexpectedly. This change was a result of updates made to improve support for translation strings across multiple languages. We’re actively working to refine the display to ensure consistency and clarity in all supported languages.
The following English translation strings have been capitalized.

Fine Payment Fix for Main Site Level Accounting
When a library uses the same Main Site PayPal Account for fine payment in all or some Kiosks and Collection sites, they were previously seeing a WhiteLabel error in the site level when paying fines unless the site level fine payment configuration was manually saved. This issue has been corrected and the Main site configuration will properly cascade down to all kiosks and collection sites after this release.
We are continuing to work on improving our PayPal integration by focusing on 'custom domain' related issues next.
Missing Authors and Concepts in Search Type-Ahead Index and Author Showcase Config
A fix was made to correct an issue being see in the search type-ahead suggestions index where some Authors and Concepts that exist in the catalog were not displaying a type-ahead suggestion. This fix also corrects a similar issue that was previously encountered when using the Home Page configuration settings to search for and configure an Author showcase, making it impossible to configure certain authors for an author showcase on the home page.
This change requires a post deployment step and may take a few days to appear in Discover after the code deployment.
Accessibility Improvements for Screen Reader Users
We’ve resolved a bug affecting patrons using screen readers when submitting forms with empty fields. Previously, if a patron pressed Enter without completing any fields, the screen reader would repeat the error message four times. This issue has been fixed—now, the error message is read only once, providing a smoother and less disruptive experience.
Additionally, we’ve added new translation strings to help screen readers clearly identify which field each error message refers to. These updates improve accessibility and make it easier for users to understand and correct input errors.
The following translation strings have been added.

Sort by Title & Author Ascending and Descending
This feature requires a post deployment step to enable and may take a few days to appear in the search Sorted by menu.
New search sorting options have been added as a MEEP Enhancement. The Sorted by menu in search results has been enhanced with 4 new options and all options have been organized in alphabetical order. Author A-Z, Author Z-A, Title A-Z, and Title Z-A are the new sorting options and will reorganize the current search results based on the Author or Title data.
German Language Support
This feature requires a post deployment step to enable and may take a few days to apply to search.
German Language indexing support has been added for libraries in the EU to support German alphabet characters and 'UND' as an AND operator.
Vega as an INN-Reach Central Catalog is GA Ready
We're pleased to announce that Vega Discover as an INN-Reach catalog is now available, thank you to LI Link as our first partner!
BUG FIXES
PayPal Fix for Custom Domain Redirect After Payments
A fix was applied to our PayPal workflow that allows patrons in libraries that use a Custom Domain to be correctly redirected to the custom domain Vega Discover after completing a payment instead of being redirected to the default URL (which did not maintain the custom domain patron authentication). Patrons will now maintain their login and land in the correct custom domain site.
PayPal Redirect on Cancel of Payment
The documentation will be updated with the following change to the Set Up configuration in PayPal Manager to support a successful redirect to the patron fines and fees tab upon clicking the cancel or return to merchant site link on the PayPal payment page.
The new cancel URL should follow this URL pattern and should use your custom domain vega home URL if you have one configured: https://<vega_home_url>/api/personalization/payments/v1/paypal/status/cancel

Cover Carousel Showcase Updates
We resolved an issue where changes made to the Cover Carousel showcase were not being saved as expected. You can now confidently update your carousel content, and all changes will be presented.
Early Release of the Admin Setting for Account Linking
This feature is under development and the configuration setting has been removed from the Patron Settings.
Delayed Updates for EU, AP, and SG Libraries
Upon deploying code to our North American customers (NA, NA2, NA3, NA4, NA5, and CA) on the morning of July 2nd (US), it was reported that Home Page links were no longer working. We are currently working to urgently fix this issue and schedule an update to release that fix. This issue impacts only Vega Discover customers in the North American regions. All other customers are unaffected, because we did not push the affected code to EU, AP, or SG customers. When we have updated code we will deploy to all environments and all Vega Discover libraries will have the features from the previous release announcement at that time.

BUG FIXES
Fix for Material Types, Locations, and Item Statuses Display in Staff Admin Settings
Borrowbox Checkout and Holds Fix
A problem was fixed with the display of some Borrowbox checkouts that were displaying as 'Resource is not available' in the Patron checkout and holds tabs of Vega Discover.
My Bookshelf Filtering: Concept Filter Removed
Applies only to libraries with My Bookshelf Availability enabled
In the June 5/6 release, we resolved a bug that caused author searches to return results only when using either the first or last name. As part of this fix, we also improved the performance of searches by Format, Language, Location, Title, Author, Publication Date, and Series—these filters now load results more quickly.
However, the Concept filter still requires additional work to meet our performance and accuracy standards. As a result, it has been temporarily removed from the list of available filters.
Syndetics Counts in Māori: Sentence Structure Fix
On the details page of a title, a bug was fixed where the sentence structure was incorrect when scrolling down to the Syndetics widgets. In Māori, the item count was in the wrong location of the sentence. The translation strings have been updated to:
