Locations facet sort order
The Locations facet in the Refine Results panel lists preferred locations first. These include locations that patrons select as their home location, and preferred locations chosen on kiosk and collection sites. Vega lists preferred locations in the following priority:
- Kiosk preferred location
- Patron home location
- Collection site preferred locations
If more than one preferred location is selected for a collection site, Vega displays the locations in highest hit count order. -

All locations pop-up window sort order
You can configure the sort order of the locations that appear in the pop-up window when patrons select All locations from the Refine Results panel.
This setting only affects the sort order of the Locations pop-up window. It doesn’t affect the sort order of the locations in the Refine Results panel. Also, the Locations pop-up window only appears if a search returns at least 16 locations.
You can select from the following options:
- Hit count descending with preferred locations at top
- A-Z sort
To configure the location sort order
- In the upper-right corner, select Settings
. - From the Settings menu, select Library defaults.
- Select Display settings.
- Select from the following options:
- Hit Count Descending with Preferred Locations at Top
- A–Z Sort
- Select Save.
