Configure Vega Program integration
If you are assigned either the Main Site Admin or Site Admin role, you can integrate Vega Program with Vega Discover to streamline your event announcement workflow.
You can use Vega Program as the single source of event announcements. This reduces the chance of entering incorrect event information on the home page.
You can use Vega Program to manually create a component row with three events. The events can either be text only or they can include an image with the option to link to a URL.
To configure Vega Program integration, do the following:
- Create a Vega Program API key.
- Configure Vega Program integration in Vega.
- In Vega Program, from the Event Management menu, select Advanced.
- Select Manage API Keys.
- Select Create New API Key.
- Enter a name and select Create.
- Copy the API name and key and save them in a secure place.
- Select Close.
- In Vega, from the Settings menu, select Third-party connections.
The Third-party connections configuration page opens. - Next to Vega Program, select CONFIGURE.
The Edit Connection page opens. - Enter the Vega Program API key.
- Enter the URL for Vega Program.
- Select Use Vega Program for Events.
- Select Save.
- In the upper-right corner, select Settings
. - Select Library defaults > Site Configuration.
The Sites page opens. - In the Actions column, select Options
for the site you want to edit. - Select Edit.
- Select Third-party connections.
The Third-party connections page opens. - Next to Vega Program, select CONFIGURE.
The Edit Connection page opens. - Enter the Vega Program API key.
- Enter the URL for Vega Program.
- Select Use Vega Program for Events.
- Select Save.
