Enabling the CrossRef External Lookup

1. Create a field selector for the "DOI" meta tag in the OpenURL from the external origin.
2. Create an external lookup.
3. Configure external origins that send OpenURLs containing the "DOI" meta tag. Choose CrossRef in the External lookup options drop-down menu when configuring these external origins.
4. Edit the crossref.xmlmapping file, if necessary.
   
   The crossref.xml maps the response from the external lookup server back to an OpenURL.
   
   The default file is provided with WebBridge in the WebPAC live directory. If the external lookup service makes changes to their response, or if your library has special needs with regard to mapping the response to an OpenURL, you can edit the crossref.xml file.

   NOTE

   XML files can be edited in text editors. Innovative does not provide support for editing XML files.
