Bulk Site Creation Workflow

A Bulk Site creation workflow has been added to the Sites Configuration page for all Vega Discover libraries. If your library is a multi-site or consortia library you can use this workflow to create both kiosks and collection sites. If your library is a single organization you can use this workflow to create kiosk sites.

The workflow offers a download of a CSV form that you can use to input details about the sites you would like to create. The Bulk Site creation workflow is limited to the creation of 500 sites from a single CSV file. Use multiple files for more than 500 collection sites.

Please reference our documentation, that will be available will be available during the day of deployment, for details about how to input data for bulk site creation.

Aranes Language added for Patrons

An Aranes language file was added and made available for the Patron UI in Vega Discover to support our Catalan area customers.

Relevancy Improvement: Summary Data

We reduced the weighting of summary data in our search relevancy reducing boosts of less relevant materials that had multiple mentions of particular terms.

eContent Links show display text instead of full URL when more than one link is present

When digital materials display a Check Availability status because of multiple links being present, Vega will display the LINK TEXT for each link if present instead of the full URL to the material.
