Syndetics Summary displays when no MARC 520
For all libraries using the default Syndetics Unbound integration, Vega will now check Syndetics for summary information when the edition used to display the summary data on the full title view does not contain 520 $a summary data. If Syndetics has a summary, and the MARC record does not, the Syndetics Summary will be displayed.
Blank Audience Mapping for Age Facet
To improve the functionality of the Age Facet for libraries that do not catalog the 008/22 audience metadata for Adult Collections a setting has been added to the Facet Administration for the Age Facet that will allow you to map titles with blank 008/22 fields to another standard MARC audience.
Steps to Configure

As a Vega Super Admin or Main Site Admin, choose Facet administration in the Settings of Vega Discover.

A Configure button will appear for the Age Group Facet that will allow you to choose which Age Facet to map blank fields to.

After selecting your changes, click the Save and Schedule Extraction button which will take you to the Record Extraction settings where you should schedule a full MARC Extraction for at least 30 minutes in the future.

After this extraction completes, all blank valued materials will have the selected Audience applied and can be found by filtering using the Age Facet.
Hoopla Flex Support
Vega Discover now supports the API ingest of Hoopla Flex Collections as well as hold placement and cancelation workflows for these materials. Hoopla Flex Collection materials will be presented to patrons first when available. When Hoopla Flex titles are checked out, patrons can queue for hold fulfillment for these titles using a Place Hold button. Hoopla Flex holds can be canceled by patrons in the Account Portal Holds view.
Steps to Configure

If your library purchases Flex titles as an organization, you can use the "Include Flex Titles" checkbox in the Main Third-Party Connection configuration for Hoopla. A full extraction should be run for your Hoopla Collection after making this change. After this update, Flex titles will be returned in your Hoopla updates along with Instant Collection titles. If you share Hoopla Collections to any sites, these Flex Materials will be included with the shared Hoopla Collections.

If your library is a consortium or individual branch libraries in your organization purchase Hoopla Flex materials separately with their Hoopla Collections each site can configure the "Include Hoopla Flex" titles setting at the Site Level in their Hoopla configuration. Hoopla Flex collections are connected to your site's circulation credentials if they exist and do not require additional configuration. A separate Hoopla Flex extraction will need to be scheduled for sites that have their own Hoopla Flex collections.
Localization Improvements
English (US) No Longer Required for Display
English US can be unchecked in the displayed languages for Vega Discover allowing non-US libraries to remove this language from the language drop-down.
Manage Languages Sorted A-Z
Enabled languages display in alphabetical order in Manage Translations settings.
Account Linking Passphrases Generated in Patron Preferred Language
When generating passphrases to link accounts, Vega Discover generates 5-word passphrases in the user's selected display language.
All Vega Emails can be Translated
All Vega Emails to share catalog content can now be translated in the strings files. Strings for emails start with "shareIt" prefixes in the strings.
Fixes
Patron Expiration Reminder
The Patron Expiration reminder workflow that displayed in the BookShelf has been added to the Account Portal and appears as expected when the 'Display expiration message to patrons when their account expires in 30 days or less' setting is on in the Vega Discover Admin Patron Settings.
Payment Success Messaging
The PayPal success and error workflows now return patrons to the fines and fees page in the Account Portal after completing a payment.

eContent Circulation Status Fix
The green banner displayed on econtent that a user has on hold or checked out has been updated to show the correct count of copies that are checked out or on hold.
eContent Accidental Checkout Fix
A problem was fixed where econtent could be checked out to a user unexpectedly if before logging in they clicked an econtent action but canceled the login workflow and then later decided to login.
Accidental Selection of Search Suggestion Fix
When the user's cursor is positioned over a search hint, hitting enter no longer automatically selects the hint text and overwrites the entered search terms.
Super Admin Name and Email Support Fixes
SuperAdmin Users can now be created for libraries where contacts have special characters in their name or email address such as O'Connell or info@statelibrary-tn.org. Diacritics will be supported in a future release.
User Management Name and Email Support Fixes

String Typo Correction
The default translation string for "searchReleaseFor" was updated to correct a typo
Months Language Display Updates
Months display for transaction dates was updated to use the International DateTimeFormat language strings for all languages except Aranes (which will be added in future versions). There are no translation strings for Months in the translation files and they should display appropriately based on the selected Vega Discover display language.
