Impersonate a member
Use the Impersonate Mode to view the events calendar as a library member. You can use this feature when troubleshooting an issue or helping a member manage their events.
You can impersonate only members who have previously accessed the events calendar.
To start impersonate mode:
-
While signed in as a staff member, select Impersonate from the left navigation menu.
-
Enter the member's credentials, such as their library card number or username.
The member's My Bookings page opens with Stop Impersonating displayed at the top.
While impersonating a member, you can:
-
View their event bookings or room bookings.
-
View upcoming and past bookings.
-
Pay a fee through Stripe, when enabled.
-
Cancel an upcoming booking.
-
Rate past events from one to five stars and provide written feedback.
-
View refund information. Depending on the configuration, refunds may be processed automatically through Stripe. For offline payments, pending refunds include instructions to visit the library.
When assisting a member by phone or in person, explain the actions you take and confirm that the member understands them. Changes you make while impersonating the member are processed by the system. For consequential actions, such as canceling a booking, consider allowing the member to complete the action.
When you finish assisting the member, select Stop Impersonating, and then sign out.
