Manage staff permissions and access levels

Vega Program includes three predefined staff roles: Staff, Manager, and Admin. You can also create custom roles with permissions appropriate for your organization.

When your organization uses Sign in with Microsoft, only users with Admin permissions can manage staff permissions. If your organization doesn't use this sign-in method, contact Support to manage account access.

Create a Staff Account

Create a staff account and assign an appropriate access level.

  1. Select Advanced.

  2. Select Manage Staff Accounts.

  3. Select Create Staff Account.

  4. Enter a username and password, and select an access level.

  5. Select Create User.

Change a Staff Member's Access Level

Admin permissions are required to change staff access levels.

  1. Select Advanced.

  2. Select Manage Staff Accounts.

  3. Under Current Accounts, locate the staff member.

  4. Open the Access Level list.

  5. Select an access level.

  6. Select Save.

  7. To disable access for a staff member, clear Enable.

The staff member is immediately signed out and can no longer access Vega Program.

Predefined Roles and Permissions

Vega Program provides three predefined roles.

Staff

The Staff role includes permissions for common event management tasks, including:

  • Adding events

  • Searching for events

  • Managing event bookings

Manager

The Manager role includes Staff permissions and additional permissions, including:

  • Approving events

  • Editing events

  • Impersonating members

  • Viewing platform statistics

Admin

The Admin role includes Manager permissions and additional administrative permissions, including:

  • Managing user permissions

  • Managing locations

  • Managing API keys

  • Managing advanced platform configuration

Custom Roles

You can create custom roles to provide access based on your organization's requirements. Available permission options are displayed in Vega Program when configuring roles.

Use the Search Table function if the staff member can't be located. A user can't change their own permission level; another staff member must make the change.
