Placing and Managing Hold Requests
You can place a new hold request from the Patron Record, Bibliographic Record, Item Record or Holds Queue workform. You can manage hold requests from the Picklist, Request Manager, or Hold Request workform. For information on converting hold requests to interlibrary loan (ILL) requests and managing ILL requests, see Placing and Managing ILL Requests.
Available pickup branches for hold requests are filtered by your permissions:
-
Branches with Hold requests: Create permissions will be listed when creating new hold requests.
-
Branches with Hold requests: Modify permissions will be listed when modifying existing hold requests.
Note:
If a staff member places a hold on an econtent record, they will receive the following message: "Holds for eContent records are restricted. To place a hold on this record, you must use the PAC."
