Hiding and Restoring Facet Counts
Encore displays the number of hits next to each facet value (referred to as a "facet count"). You can hide the counts for the subjecttag, SubjectEDS, and SubjectGeographic facets. When configuring this option, note the following behavior:
- If you hide the count for subjecttag only, users will not see a count next to the Tag facet on the Catalog and CatalogPlus tabs, but will see a count on the EDS tab.
- If you hide the count for SubjectEDS only, users will not see a count next to the Tag facet on the EDS and CatalogPlus tabs, but will see a count on the Catalog tab.
- If you hide the counts for both subjecttag and Subject EDS, counts do not appear next to the Tag facet on any tab.
- If you hide the count for SubjectGeographic, users will not see a count next to the Place facet on EDS and CatalogPlus tabs, but will see a count on the Catalog tab.
To hide or restore the count for a facet:
- Log in to the Administration Application, and click Encore Customization.
- If your library uses Encore suites, select the suite you want to edit from the Current suite drop-down list.

- On the facets_to_hide_count dialog box, you can:
- Hide the facet count by selecting the facet name in the left-hand column and clicking the right arrow (>).
