Configuring Research Starters

In order to display Research Starters in Encore, you must configure this feature using both the EBSCO Admin and Encore Administration applications.

To enable this feature:

1. Log in to the EBSCO Admin application.
2. Set Research Starters as an active database by clicking the On radio button.
3. Enable the Display Research Starters Feature Area setting by clicking the On radio button.
4. Log in to the Administration Application and choose Encore Customization.
5. Choose the suite you want to edit from the Current suite drop-down list.
6. In the subapplication list, choose Other.
7. Locate the EDS Research Starters section. Click the Yes radio button under the Enable EDS Research Starters? setting.
8. (Optional) If you want to limit the number of Research Starters that display for each search, enter a number in the Max Number to Display setting box. By default, Encore displays all returned Research Starters.
